About Schumann Resonances

Schumann Resonances are electromagnetic standing waves that exist in the cavity between Earth's surface and the ionosphere. First predicted by physicist Winfried Otto Schumann in 1952, these resonances are created by lightning discharges around the globe. The fundamental frequency is approximately 7.83 Hz, often called Earth's "heartbeat," with several harmonic frequencies above it.

The Eight Schumann Resonance Frequencies

7.83 Hz - Fundamental Frequency - Earth's Heartbeat

The primary Schumann Resonance, associated with deep relaxation, theta brainwave states, meditation, and connection to Earth's electromagnetic field. Often used for grounding and stress relief.

14.3 Hz - 2nd Harmonic - Alpha Bridge

Bridges theta and alpha brainwave states. Associated with relaxed alertness, creative flow states, and light meditation. Supports calm focus and mental clarity.

20.8 Hz - 3rd Harmonic - Beta Gateway

Corresponds to low beta brainwaves. Enhances alertness, focused attention, and active thinking. Supports concentration and cognitive processing.

27.3 Hz - 4th Harmonic - Focus & Clarity

Mid-beta range associated with active concentration, problem-solving, and engaged learning. Promotes mental sharpness and analytical thinking.

33.8 Hz - 5th Harmonic - Mental Alertness

High beta frequency linked to heightened mental activity, active processing, and complex cognitive tasks. Supports sustained attention and information integration.

39.0 Hz - 6th Harmonic - Gamma Activation

Enters the gamma brainwave range. Associated with heightened perception, information processing, and states of peak mental performance. Linked to insight and learning.

45.0 Hz - 7th Harmonic - Higher Cognition

Mid-gamma frequency associated with enhanced cognitive function, sensory binding, and consciousness. Supports advanced information processing and mental integration.

50.0 Hz - 8th Harmonic - Peak Awareness

High gamma frequency linked to states of peak awareness, simultaneous processing of information, and heightened consciousness. Associated with moments of insight and clarity.
